His beloved little blob babies can now transmogrify into their own unique creatures. So basically they're actual shadows now and not just blobs. This includes stuff like the lions and the snakes. No additional powers come with this (like no spells) and is mostly aesthetic. It's also locked in stone which shadow becomes what. One that becomes a lion can't suddenly decide later to become a snake. It can only be done to five (out of his allowed ten) shadows at once.
