Power Requests

After events, players may use their event participation to either gain a new power, an upgrade to a pre-existing power or a small item from home. To get either of these things, players most post a comment to this page using the form below, specifying what they want. A mod will either approve it, or work with the player to make the power work if there are any problems with it.

You can also use participation from two separate events to retcon a power you already have but no longer want (for whatever reason). Please use the following form for power retcons.

While a small item only requires one event, bigger items will require more. Please consult the mods about bigger items and we will tell you how much you will need to save.

Character: Roland Deschain
Event Link: Power Retcon (since right now he has only freebies + Empathy, the one he came in with).
Request: Present vision: the ability to see not into the future but rather things that are happening currently elsewhere. Those things are limited to things concerning him (so if someone was, say, messing with his room) or things that will eventually concern him (something random that in a few hours or so will become his problem). In this way he may get flashes that will prompt him to do what he's 'supposed' to be doing, ones that direct him toward the right place at the right time, but it will be entirely up to him to figure out what those nudges mean. OH AND I SHOULD PROBABLY MENTION he can't do this on purpose. It'll just kind of smack him over the head occasionally.

Request: An item: his grow-bag. It's a small leather drawstring bag that has an enchantment on it allowing it to generate money upon the owner's request, usually in the currency of wherever he happens to be (it's made gold coins, silver coins, and small garnets all before). Once it's been emptied it needs time to refill itself. Since that could potentially be a powerful item to have, I'll leave it up to the mods how much money it can produce, in what currency, and how long it needs to recharge between uses. I'm also fine just getting the normal bag back and using another event participation for the magic if you're feelin' that feel.

For the item, it can create upwards of roughly $20 (basically enough to cover a large pizza order) in change each day.

Roland will find it in a box like this addressed to him in the entrance of the temple if he stops by. If he doesn't it will mysteriously find its way to the birdhouse with the other bird fam presents.
