BUILDING: Vivien’s Garden IC CONTACT: plurk.com/pythonmelon or pythonmelon@yahoo.com DESCRIPTION: A small florist shop named after his mother, opened in a storefront in town, from which Virgil will sell potted plants and floral arrangements. The store is quiet, barely decorated, and crammed with budding flowers. It consists of a small room with an old counter and cash register and large display windows with the name painted in one, all the walls lined with shelves of plants. Most of the pots, shelves, and many other goods are picked up from the dump or stolen and it gives the shop a tired, semi-rustic look. Behind the counter is a small back work room with a sink and work table, and more shelves. There is an access door the alley behind the storefront, where stems and thorns are set aside.
Virgil will start experimenting with plant breeding in the back, to develop stronger and more resilient flowers and shrubs. There is a special shelf dedicated to the results of these experiments, discounted but at one’s own risk because some of his experiments tend to have… aggressive tendencies.
The shop will be open five days a week, Monday-Friday 9-5. Prices are reasonable, even cheap. Virgil considers it more of a passion project than a lucrative business, but he has plans to possibly collaborate with other proprietors of greenery around the town. The available plants will change seasonally, from garden vegetables in the spring to resilient succulents and air plants in the winter. He will also likely have a hammock hanging in the work room for sleeping when he gets caught up in work and doesn’t feel like going back to the temple.
