BUILDING: Beat Down IC CONTACT: fetchmodus @ plurk DESCRIPTION: Beat Down is a club sat right on the edge of the docks in Waverly Bay. Formerly an abandoned storage warehouse, it was commandeered by Dirk Strider and renovated into a dojo/rave club for all members of the town.
The building itself is run down, at best. Enough repair has been done to it so that there are no longer any gaping holes or vermin, but the overall look is still dingy and disused. It's covered in grafitti both inside and out.
The interior is loosely divided into two areas. One is geared up with some second hand dj equipment and a wild light setup. This is the rave sector. It's a fairly spacious environment to dance. Dirk can be hired to DJ parties and is glad to rent the space out if people want it.
The other area is a dojo, though there's no weaponry to be found inside. Instead there are training dummies, self-help guides, a pile of puppets, and of course, an unorthodox instructor who is usually there and willing to teach for a fee. Just using the space to practice your powers is alright, but anything involving a teacher requires payment which he's willing to discuss.
